Michael Paul Mondell, 45, of Athens, Alabama, was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Possession of a Pistol by a Violent Felon. Mondell has a prior conviction for Facilitation of Second-Degree Murder in Jefferson County, Tennessee. No bond has been set at this time.
ATHENS-On December 15, 2025, the Limestone County Narcotics Unit conducted a traffic stop at the Taco Bell located in the City of Athens as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. During the stop, investigators located approximately 28 grams of methamphetamine inside the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, Bradley Michael Rouse, 48, of Athens, Alabama, was arrested and charged with Trafficking in
Methamphetamine. No bond has been set at this time.

No bond has been set at this time.Following the traffic stop and continued investigation, the Limestone County Narcotics Unit, with assistance from Patrol Deputies, executed a search warrant at a residence on Reynard Street in the City of Athens. During the search, investigators located approximately 100 grams of methamphetamine, one pistol, and approximately $3,000 in U.S. currency.
