He spent many years as a truck driver, working hard and taking pride in driving a dump truck for a living. But when he wasn’t working, his heart was at the racetrack. Racing was more than a hobby to him it was who he was. Behind the wheel of his blue # 4JR car, “Wild Thang,” trimmed in red and white, he raced in the Late Model class and could also be found tearing it up in many demolition derbies over the years. He raced all over, but nothing compared to Saturday nights at Sayre Speedway, his favorite place to be. Friends and fellow racers remember him at the track for his love of the sport, his determination behind the wheel, and the friendships he built in the pits. He lived for the moment the green flag dropped and loved it even more when the black-and-white checkered flag waved as he drove beneath it, doing what he loved most.

He is proceeded in death by his father John Ethel Williams and mother Bobbie Nell Williams and his best friend Darell Brown.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years Barbara Ann Williams, daughters Jill Wilson (Isiah), Shauna Thacker (Zach) and Deana Wright (Ashlia), grandchildren; Aubrieanna, Baylie and Reyson, brother; Johnny Williams and his beloved dog “daughter” Maggie. His special friends David Eustice and Chris Wise, Lance Plyer, Alan Craig and Esther Chappell.

Serving as pallbearers; Chris Wise, Kris Bookout, Adam Watts, Lance Plyler, Alan Craig and Johnny Williams.
