Nancy Tcherneshoff  Nancy May Norris Tcherneshoff, 91, of Fort Payne, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025, at her home. She was born June 26, 1934 in Syracuse, New York, to the late Dana and Lucile Norris. She graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School and attended Emory University. An active and faithful member of First Presbyterian Church of Fort Payne, she served as treasurer for the Presbyterian Women’s Group and was recognized as an Honorary Lifetime Member of Presbyterian Women. Nancy was active in the community for many years serving on the Planning Commission, as a member of the Jayceettes, the Fort Payne Culture Club, and was a lifetime member of Landmarks of DeKalb. Before retiring, she was the bookkeeper at DeSoto Printing for 33 years. She enjoyed playing the piano and was an avid bridge player. Nancy was supportive of the local community theatre and enjoying attending the performances.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 19th at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service.

She is survived by her children Dennis Traylor and wife Shelia and Karen Barnett and husband Brian; grandchildren Kelly Traylor and David Barnett.

She was preceded in death by her son Michael Lee Traylor, grandson Dana Hugh Traylor, her parents Dana and Lucile Norris, and two brothers and two sisters.

Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of services.
