Mary Ruth Patterson, 83, of Toney, passed away on Monday, December 8th, 2025, at her residence. Mrs. Patterson was born on August 14th, 1942, in Viola, Tennessee, to Hubert and Ellen (Wright) Cox.
Ms. Patterson is survived by her daughter, Cindy Griffin (James); sister, Geraldine Perry; grandchildren, Madison Tucker (Matthew), Ashleigh Jolley (Seaton), Lindsay Byler (Johnny), and Cole Hogan; great-grandchildren, Charley Tucker, Loralei Jolley, Moira Jolley, Jaxon Byler, and Chandler Byler; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Katie Oliver.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Ellen Cox; daughter, Tina Marie Patterson Hogan; brothers, William Cox and Thomas Kemp; and sister, Sarah Hodges.
Funeral services for Ms. Patterson will be Friday, December 12th, 2025, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be Friday, from 12:45 to 1:45 a.m., at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Swindall, Bubba Perry, Johnny Byler, Matthew Tucker, Seaton Jolley, and Joel Hogan. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
Ms. Patterson loved flowers. She was also a person full of fun and was a top-notch domino player.
