Mary Elizabeth Posey, 84, of Cherokee, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Arrangements will be announced by Morrison Funeral Home.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Marty Posey; son, Matthew Byrd; and parents, Elbert and Katie Swindle.
She is survived by her children, Mike Byrd, Mark Byrd (Angela), and Nichole Byrd (Jeremy); grandchildren, Jeremy Byrd, Niki Odell, Aldani Byrd, and Thomas Ivey; great-grandchildren, Brayden Byrd, Addison Byrd, Paris Odell, London Odell, and Johnny Henson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jason Swindle, Jeremy Byrd, Jeremy Ivey, Brayden Byrd, and Edward Swindle.
