George Ray Lynn, age 80 of Jasper, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Walker Baptist Medical Center.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Old Union Cemetery. Johnny Gunter will officiate.
Mr. Lynn was preceded in death by his Parents-Guy Lynn and Gertrude Farris Lynn; Wife-Wilma Christine Lynn; Sisters and Brothers-Mary Waldon, Christine Barnes, Crystal Reeves and twin sister Nancy Marino, Arnold Lynn, Kenneth Lynn, David Lowell Lynn.
He is survived by his Brothers and Sisters-Charles Lynn (Johanne), Dennis Lynn, James Lynn, Daniel Lynn (Pat), Denise Mears (Sandy), Brenda Puckett (John), Linda Chadwick (John).
Ray will be dearly missed, he will be remembered by his loved ones and friends as a brave man. He lived a life of strong faith in the Lord. He was an amazing person, always happy, smiling and positive. Twenty two years ago before going in for bypass surgery, he said “don’t worry about me, I am God hands and I will be just fine.” The last few years of his life he had several health issues, but he stayed strong and taught his family by example what it means to trust in the Lord.
