Vickie M. Howard, age 72, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Huntsville at Crestwood Hospital.
She was born on December 12, 1952, in Hartselle, Alabama, to Thomas W. Walls and Vinnie Baker Walls.
Vickie was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Lee “Randy” Howard; her father, Thomas W. Walls; her sister, Agetha Hopkins; and her son, Aaron Nave.
She is survived by her son, Tim (April) Nave; her beloved grandchildren, Emma and Oliver Nave; her mother, Vinnie Terry; her sister, Jeana McDonald; her brothers, Wayne Walls and Leatselle Walls; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A devoted member of Spring Avenue Church of the Nazarene, Vickie found great joy in traveling—especially visiting Gatlinburg and the mountains she loved so dearly.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor John Branch officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rusty McDonald, Eric Walls, Rodney Walls, Oliver Nave, Leatselle Walls, and Wayne Walls.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to Children’s Hospital.
