Marylin Tolles Setlow passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, after a full and joyful life.

Born in Seattle, Washington on September 4, 1934, she was the youngest of three. After high school in Raymond, Washington, she attended college in Ellensburg, where she soon met the love of her life, Andy Setlow, who would become her husband.

Marylin was a school teacher with a Masters Degree in Special Education from George Washington University. Her 66 years of marriage to an Air Force officer had her and their three children traveling the country and the world.

She lived in the Huntsville area for almost 40 years. She had been a docent at the Huntsville Museum of Art; she was a member of Asbury Methodist church in Madison; she was a long-time resident of Magnolia Trace and very active in her community.

Marylin was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andy, and two brothers, Willard Tolles and Ross Tolles. She is survived by her children, Druanne Hogstrom (Eric), Dionna Weldon (Derek), and Larry Setlow (Anne). She was a proud grandmother to Sarah Hogstrom Standridge (Matt), Mark Hogstrom, Devin Weldon (Crystal), Dane Weldon (Ashlene), Danna Gagne (Gary), and Destin Osan (Vince). She had 12 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Clarkston Education Foundation (https://donorbox.org/clarkston-education-foundation, or P.O. box 361, Clarkston, WA 99403) for the Setlow scholarships or to your local food bank.
