Hazel Jean Vanderford, 86, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center-Iuka. She was born April 9, 1939, to Winston “Wink” and Ella Vanderford. She worked as a seamstress for several factories over the course of her life. She enjoyed flower gardening, painting, taking care of her niece and nephews, watching TV (Channel 9), and her cats.
A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Snowdown Church of Christ with Minister Rick Jones and Minister Keith Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Snowdown Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home is honored to assist the family.
She is survived by two sisters, Waynona Davis and Nelda Woodard; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Vanderford; a sister-in-law, Faye Vanderford; a brother-in-law, Garvin Davis; a niece, Lisa McKinney; and three nephews, infant John Woodard, Jr, Paul Ray McKinney and Eric McAnally.
Pallbearers are her nephews.
