Larry E. Oden Larry E. Oden, 75, of Sumiton, Alabama, passed away on December 4, 2025.

Larry was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend whose life was marked by service, faith, and love for those around him.

He is survived by his son, Bryan Edward Oden; his sisters, Peggy Freeman and Janie Bowling; his brother, James Edward Oden Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, James Edward Oden and Annabelle Oden; his brothers Edward Eugene Oden, Johnny Oden, and Garry Oden; and his beloved wife, Rebecca Ann Oden.

A longtime and faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Larry served as a deacon and lived out his faith in all that he did. He was an avid Alabama fan, a lover of wrestling and Sayre Speedway races, a talented drummer, and a man who never turned down a good meal. Known for his warm heart and steady presence, he was a loving husband and father, always putting family first.

Larry proudly served his country as a U.S. Army soldier and later retired from a long career as a truck driver. His dedication, work ethic, and courage were evident throughout his life.

Visitation will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will take place at the church on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at New Horizon Memorial Gardens.

Services will be officiated by Dewayne Harper and Mike Williams.

Bell Funeral Home has been entrusted with serving the Oden family.
