Winfield Woman Dies From Injuries Received In Two-Vehicle Accident

HAMILTON-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident near Hamilton that has taken the life of one person and sent another to hospital:

Per the family’s request:  Larry Gann remains in the hospital ICU with a broken sternum and broken ribs. He also is suffering from inter bleeding.

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:40 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, has claimed the life of a Winfield woman.

Amy C. Cochran, 45, was fatally injured when the 2000 Toyota Camry she was driving collided head-on with the 2014 Ford F-250 driven by Larry E. Gann, 51, of Hamilton. Cochran was pronounced deceased at the scene. Gann was injured and transported to Northwest Regional Health Hospital in Winfield for treatment.

 

The crash occurred on U.S. 278 near the 17 mile marker, approximately six miles east of Hamilton, in Marion County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
