Billy Wayne Ransom, 49, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at his home in Pontotoc. He loved hunting, fishing, and going to the races with his family. Being part of the Furrs Fire Department brought him great joy. A kind and loving man, he cherished his family and the time they spent together.
He is survived by his father, Eugene Ransom; two sisters, Crystal Ransom and Christy Ransom; his brother, Joseph Ransom; six aunts; five uncles; three nephews; one niece; his great-nephew, Kamryn Mullins; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jonell Williams; his brother, Kenny Ransom; his grandfather, James Edwards; and his grandmother, Teresa Monts.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 2 PM at Palmetto Baptist Church, with Bro. Jimmy Webb officiating. Visitation will begin at 12 PM and continue until the service. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery, Nettleton, MS.
