Funeral services for Mr. Cecil Phillips, age 75 of Delta will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Rev. Clay Lovelady officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Phillips passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Lineville Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was a native of Clay County, was a former resident of Mississippi and also worked in the Huntsville area. Cecil owned a car detailing business, but had also worked in construction, carpentry, and as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed Alabama football, going fishing and his Marlboro Lights.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his two brothers; Nathan Phillips of Delta and Roger Phillips and wife Ramona, also of Delta. plus a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by her parents; Daniel M. “Dan” Phillips and Beatrice Buttram Phillips, two brothers; John and Bill Phillips, and three half-sisters; Katie Turner, Myrtle Barnwell, and Euline “Sam” Ennis.
Pallbearers will be Danny Phillips, David Phillips, Dixon Phillips, John Houston Phillips, Matthew Phillips, Jesse Phillips, and Tim Farrow.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville on Monday, December 1, 2025 from 12:30 until service time at 2:00 P.M.
