Mr. Eddie Bernard Fry, age 82, of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, November 23, 2025, at Diversicare Care of Arab. Born on March 12, 1943, in Limestone County, Alabama, Eddie was the son of Daniel Everett Fry and Corinne Maddox Fry. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lila Joyce Ulrich Fry, who passed away on March 1, 2016.
Eddie was a member of Valhermoso Baptist Church and spent his career working at Colonial Bakery, serving both in the sanitation department and as a baker. He had a passion for electronics and enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley, caring for plants and animals, and watching news and sports on TV. In his younger years, he found joy in bowling, fishing, and gardening.
He is survived by his daughters, Teresia Fry, Elizabeth Fry, and Diane Fry Thomas; grandchildren, Brandon Thomas, Nathan Thomas, and Jason Fry; as well as two nephews and one niece. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Corinne Fry; his wife, Lila Ulrich Fry; and his brother, Donald Nelson Fry.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Valhermoso Baptist Church in Lacey’s Spring, Alabama. Family and friends will gather for the visitation from 2:00 PM until the service begins at 3:00 PM, with Brother Craye Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Valhermoso Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
