Cullman Attorney Arrested On Charges Of Attempted Murder

CULLMAN-On the evening of November 25, 2025, Cullman Police Department Investigators arrested Sara Baker, of Cullman.
Cullman Police say local attorney Sara Baker of Cullman is facing a long list of serious charges, including conspiracy to commit murder.  According to Cullman Police investigators the attempted murder charges against Baker stem from allegations that she attempted to kill her husband.

She has been charged with the following offenses under the Alabama Criminal Code:

Sara Baker

Conspiracy to Commit Murder — § 13A‑4‑3
Three counts of Attempted Murder — § 13A‑4‑2
Distribution of a Controlled Substance — § 13A‑12‑211
Elder Abuse, 2nd Degree —
§ 13A‑6‑193
Four counts of Solicitation to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime — § 13A‑12‑202
Domestic Violence, 2nd Degree — § 13A‑6‑131
Baker was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center, where she remains in custody pending bond.
The Cullman Police Department would like to extend its appreciation to District Attorney Champ Crocker and the Cullman County District Attorney’s Office, as well as the FBI North Alabama Violent Crimes Task Force and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force for their assistance in this case.
