Rufus Everette Tutor, Sr., 63, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was a dedicated worker, always ready to lend a hand, and loved his family beyond measure. Known for his humor, he shared countless funny stories that could brighten any day.
Rufus is lovingly remembered by his siblings Jeffrey Tutor, Mark Tutor (Belinda), Nathan Tutor (Melanie), Matilta Wilson, and Edward Grisham; his children Rufus Everette Tutor Jr. (Anne Marie), William Anthony Tutor (Nikki), Chasity Cossey, and Chance Tutor; his grandchildren Desiree Leslie (Austin), Harley Tutor, Marley Kelly, Taylor Tutor, Remington Cossey, Brooklyn Tutor, Ally Cossey, Karen Tutor, Ana Tutor, Kaylee Wilkinson, and Alex Wilkinson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father William I.T. Tutor, his mother Bessie Tutor Grisham, his brothers Wayne Gene Tutor, Dean Tutor, and Jonathan Tutor, and his grandparents C.F. and Melba Smith and James Rufus and Helen Tutor.
