Funeral service for Jerry Leiland Wright, 82, will be Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ralph Henderson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, November 21, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Wright passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at his residence. He was born May 24, 1943, in Tennessee, to Clearence C. Wright and Martha Emma Patterson Wright.
Mr. Wright was the Owner and Operator of J.L. Wright Plumbing, which was in operation for over 60 years, prior to his retirement. He was a “Die Hard” Alabama Football fan, loved to traveling, especially to the beach the Smokies, and loved to camp. He loved all babies, his cats and his dogs. His favorite saying was, “He was simply good at what he did.”
Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers- Charles J. Wright and Jimmy E. Wright and two sisters- Joyce M. Brewer and Brenda Lee Payne.

Wife – Patsy Darlene Wright,
Son – Scott Abbott (Christy),
Daughters – Amy L. Wright (Mike Belote) and
Susan D. Wright,
Brother – James Hayes (Pat),
Three Grandchildren – Justin LaShomb, Jessica LaShomb, and Jonathan LaShomb,
Bonus Daughter- Connie Garrison,
Bonus Grandchildren – Brannon Garrison (Lainy), Breanna Davis (Braxton), Brittany Simmons, Hunter and Lizzie Guthrie,
Pallbearers will be Brannon Garrison, Shannon Garrison, Stephen Kilpatrick, Mike Kilpatrick, Jonathan LaShomb, and Roy Griffith.
