Thomas Moore Wood, 84 of Waterloo, Alabama passed away on November 14, 2025. His visitation will be held from 12-2 on Wednesday, November 19, at Murphy’s Chapel located at 9090 County Road 8 Waterloo, AL. A graveside service will follow at Milford Cemetery.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Earl Wood and Beatrice Wood; sister, Judy; brother, Wallace; and baby sister, Elizabeth.
Survivors include his sister, Carolyn Allison; daughter, Carol Smith (Travis); sons, Randal Wood (Diane), and Tommy Wood (Donice); grandchildren, Catassa White (Brian) of Florence, Dustin Smith (Jennifer) of Rosswell, Georgia, Monica Arnette (Craig) of Waterloo, Destinee Barnes (Austin) of Russellville, Mollie, Jake, Zannah, Dacie, and Meadow Wood all of Waterloo.
Tom was a military veteran serving his time during the mid-60’s. He was an avid hunter. Beagles were his favorite dog breed. Tom took pride in understanding scripture, and had a love for God’s word, never hesitating to tell a child or an adult to always pray and ask for forgiveness. His favorite verse was John 3:16.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
