Mary Maxine Brooks Benefield, 92 of Arab passed away Friday November 14, 2025, at her residence. She was born January 14, 1933, in Blount County the daughter of Johnnie C. Brooks and Loie Oden Brooks. She was a graduate of J.B. Pennington High School and a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. She was married to Manuel Benefield for 60 years at the time of his passing on September 27, 2011.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Brother Tim Pinkard officiating and Eulogy by Grover Plunkett. The burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
