Betty Sue Rollins, age 77, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 13, 2025, surrounded by love. She was born in Anderson, Tn on February 1, 1948, to Linnie (Shetters) and Leonard McBee, both of whom preceded her in death.

Betty Sue was a devoted mother to her children, Carole Lynette (Steve) Verner and Ronald (Stephanie) Daniel, Jr. She was a proud grandmother to Tracy (J.R.) King, Mark D. Green Jr., Ethan Daniel, and Aiden Daniel; and a cherished great-grandmother to Kaitlyn King and Garrett King. She is also survived by her two loving sisters, Mary Lou McCarver and Carlyne (Tellous) Garner.

She was preceded in death by her siblings George McBee, Bobby McBee, Glen McBee, and Juanita (McBee) Patterson, as well as by her faithful companion, JR, her beloved Yorkie.

Betty Sue lived a life marked by kindness, steady love, and a strong work ethic. She spent her early working years at the Hat Factory in Cowan, Tennessee, and later dedicated most of her career to the University of the South, where she eventually retired. Outside of work, her heart belonged to life’s simple and peaceful joys— especially visiting the beach and searching for seashells along the shoreline.

Her friends and church family meant the world to her, and she cherished each relationship deeply. Betty Sue will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering devotion to her family, and the warmth she brought into every room.

Her legacy lives on in the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who loved her dearly.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 1-2 pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with a memorial service following at 2:00 pm.

Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 300 First Ave NW, Winchester, TN 37398, (931)-967-2222
