Graveside Services for Mrs. Carolyn Patterson, age 82 of Bluff Springs, will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at the Clay County memory Gardens with Bro. Wayne Johnson officiating.

Mrs. Patterson passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025 at the Clay County Nursing Home. She was born in Tallapoosa County, grew up in the New Site Area, but lived the majority of her life in Clay County. Out of High school, she met and married her husband, Claxton, and began her family. Mrs. Patterson worked for several jobs and companies, including: Russell Mills in Alexander City as a seamstress, as well as Robinson’s Sewing Plant. For 10-12 years, she worked for the Clay County Nursing Home in the housekeeping department, and also helped her husband manage Patterson’s store for several years. Mrs. Patterson enjoyed sewing in her spare time, as well as reading, and visiting with her friends and family. She was talkative and social, kind-hearted with a love and devotion for her family, and was Devout in her Christian faith. Mrs. Patterson was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Bluff Springs.

Mrs. Patterson was survived by her daughter, Donna Glenn (Ronnie) of Bluff Springs; two grandsons: Bradley Glenn (Savannah) of Hoover and Wesley Glenn (Erika) of Ashland; three great-grandchildren: Saiya, Cadence, and Walker, with one great-grandson on the way; one sister, Tina Jett (Jerry) of Cragford plus other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Johnny Joseph Green and Susie Johnson Green; her husband, Claxton “Slick” Patterson; and three brothers: John Green, Charles Green, and Joey Green.

Troy Gill, Erin Smith, Hunter Denney, Aaron Messer, Cory Sprayberry, and Mark Heard will serve as pallbearers.

Her visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland beginning at 1:00 P.M. until service time at 3:00 P.M.
