Arthur Austin Marshall III Profile Photo Arthur Austin Marshall III died on November 8, 2025. He was born to A. A. Marshall, Jr. and Lucy Marshall at Columbus Hospital on August 24, 1945.

Austin, as he was known, went through grades one through twelve in Columbus, and graduated from S. D. Lee High School in 1963. He attended Mississippi State University for a short time. He then married the former Betty Lee Gaston and started his sales career at Office Supply Company in Columbus. Tupelo was part of his territory and it was there that he received an offer that persuaded him and his family to move to Tupelo. Prior to his retirement he moved to Knoxville, Tennessee to work a three state territory, as a Manufacturer’s Representative. He retired there in 2003 and relocated to Tupelo.

In his retirement; he enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing, and working in his yard and workshop.

He will be buried on the Marshall plot at Friendship Cemetery in Columbus.

He leaves two daughters, Blake Hill and her husband, Chris, and Genie Davis; grandchildren, Margaret Hill, Arden Hill, Stuart Davis, and Emily Davis; nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Pegues, Tupelo.

A private family burial will be at Friendship Cemetery in Columbus with Bro. Jim McClurken officiating.
