  Rayford Keel Profile PhotoRayford Keel of Hazel Green passed away on Sunday. He was 78. Mr. Keel was a graduate of Hazel Green High School and was a gifted carpenter for many years.  He also proudly served in the United States Army.   Mr. Keel was a huge Johnny Cash fan and he loved fishing.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years in 2022, Kathy Phillips Keel; his siblings: Margaret Ballew, Jean Watson, and Aaron Keel.

Surviving family members include his daughter, Dawn Keel and her significant other, Aaron Zimmerman and his son, Grayson; his daughter, Theresa (Ricky) Honea; his grandchildren: Kinslee Keel, Steven (Jennifer) Honea, John (Lysee) Honea, and Sabrina Honea; his great-grandchildren: Dakota Smith, Nick Williams, Zechariah Williams; his siblings: Everett Keel, Wendell Smith, and Gail Wright.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11am until 1pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will then be in Stateline Cemetery in Hazel Green.
