Burial will follow at Shoal Creek Baptist Church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 3:00PM on Tuesday at Peck Funeral Home.

Donna Riddle lived life with strength in her soul and laughter in her heart. She was funny, honest, caring and hardworking – the kind of person who told it like it was, but always with love. Donna believed in showing up for people, doing what was right, and finding something to smile about no matter what the day brought.

Donna was a nurse for many years, working for CDD in Decatur. She devoted her life to others by taking care of them and making them feel safe. She was so incredibly knowledgeable in her career and truly was one of the greatest nurses ever.

Whether she was helping a friend in need, working hard to make life better for her family, or sharing a story that left everyone laughing, Donna gave her best in everything she did. Her hands were never idle, and her heart was never closed. She loved her husband, Don, so much. She loved her daughter, Heather, unconditionally. She thought the world of her grandchildren, Kayden, Gavyn, and Jaxon, as they spent a lot of time together.

Donna was the kind of woman who made you feel at home the moment you walked in her door. She cared deeply – sometimes quietly, sometimes fiercely – but always genuinely. Her honesty could make you laugh and think at the same time, and her strength inspired everyone around her.

Those who knew her will remember her warmth, her humor, and her ability to find light in hard times. She faced life with grit and grace, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and hard work that will continue to shine through the lives of all who loved her.

Donna will be remembered as the best wife, mother, sister, aunt, nurse and most importantly, the greatest Duckie there ever was.
