Betty Ray Rollings, age 89, of Albertville, Alabama, passed away on November 5, 2025, after a hard-fought battle with vascular dementia. Betty was born on May 22, 1936 to the late Marvin “Bill” and Ella Yancy. She was devoted to her family, her faith, and the simple joy of caring for those she loved. She especially loved being outside and took great pride in keeping up her yard work. She also enjoyed a good self-help book, always seeking ways to grow and encourage others.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Johnny Mack Rollings; nephew, Frank Hilsman; Fritz; niece, Tammy Rollings Tucker; brother-in-law, Thomas Rollings; and sisters-in-law, Doris (Marion) Strange and Mary Jo Hill.
Betty is survived by her sisters, Dolly Baker and Doris Brooks (Jim); and a loving circle of nieces and nephews who treasured her deeply: Susan Hilsman, Tracy Baker, Jane Ellen (Chris) Brazeale, Lea Ann (Richie) Graves, Mark (Connie) Strange, Mike (Chris) Strange, Phillip (Marian) Strange, Kathy Cole, and Terri Rollings Eads.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, with Bro. David Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery in Albertville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, honoring Betty’s lifelong faith and love for her church family. Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, directing.
