Mr. Charles Blaine Carroll, age 35, of Arab, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, in Birmingham, Alabama. Blaine was born in Decatur, Alabama, on June 24, 1990, and was the beloved son of Craig and Kimberly Brewington Howard. He practiced the Baptist faith and was known for his gentle spirit.
A 2008 graduate of Brindlee Mountain High School, Blaine continued his education and earned his bachelor’s degree from Jeff State. He was dedicated to his work as a Lab Technician at Decatur General Hospital. Blaine enjoyed the outdoors, nature, loved animals, and in his free time enjoyed playing video games.
Blaine leaves behind his loving family: his parents, Craig and Kimberly Howard; sister, Brittney Howard; grandparents, Eva Melson, Mr. & Mrs. Jim and Dianne Ditto; aunts, Traci Carroll, Lisa Turner (Anthony), Jan Michael (Ashley), Shanna Hawkins (Brad); and great aunt, Joan McKay (Wayne); and a large extended family.
Blaine was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr and Mrs. Charles Wayne Carroll (Ann) and Mr. and Mrs. Reno Brewington (Joyce).
A private visitation was Sunday, October 26, 2025. Blaine will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will remain in the hearts of his family and friends. The family is planning a celebration of life but at a later time.
