Thelma (Tammy) Hammock Morgan, age 62 of Carbon Hill, AL passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on October 25, 2025. Born on May 12, 1963, in Jasper, AL she was the devoted wife of 29 years to David Morgan, and a loving mother to her six children, Tanya Tucker, Travis (T.) Sherer, Trenda Saint, Kayla Hyche, Steven Morgan, preceded in death by son Justin Morgan.
She is survived by her eleven grandchildren: Kindal, Xander, Austin, Edith, Lilly, John Travis, Westin, Nylan, Kinley, Killian, and Hiedi and her living siblings Jerry Hammock, Marilyn Hammock Hicks, Kenneth Skinner and Amy Pilkington.
Tammy is preceded in death by her mother Pauline Hammock, her five brothers Robert Hammock, William Hammock, Wayne Hammock, Donald Hammock, Jimmy Hammock and her sisters Betty Hammock and Martha Sutton.
Tammy also had a multitude of nieces and nephews, and a family of close friends who were very special to her. She will be remembered for her contagious laughter and kind heart. Tammy’s family was the most important thing to her. She loved everyone with an open heart and a wild spirit.
Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying of pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 31, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Brother Patrick Benson will officiate.
