Joe had many talents and hobbies. Whatever he took up as a hobby quickly became a talent. He excelled at anything he started. Joe loved to fish whether it was fishing with his wife, his sons, a professional Bass tournament, fishing with a friend or going alone he truly found joy in his time on the water.
He also loved photography which started as a hobby but quickly grew into something much larger. He found that his love for capturing just the right shot was more than a hobby and eventually lead to the beginning of Joseph Romans Photography.
He and his wife Valerie quickly became familiar faces on the sidelines on Friday Nights capturing special moments for students and families all across the area. Whether it was his youth ball shots or games at UNA, Wildlife photography or Senior protraits, Joe always went the extra mile for the best shot – rain or shine. He was always positive, upbeat and encouraging and he truly took an interest in everyone that came into his studio. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
I would like to thank Dr. Ridgeway, Dr. Beckermann, Dr. Gaines and Dr. Utz and all the many nurses and assistants at Vanderbilt Cancer Center for the excellent care given to my loving husband during such a difficult time.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Colbert Heights Building Fund, 6000 Woodmont Dr., Tuscumbia, AL 35674.
