Jerry Keith Bost, 88, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Creekside Manor in Saltillo Manor. Born on April 8, 1937, in Thaxton, MS, to Robert and Modene Bost, Jerry served in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he married Lynda Morris. He worked in the food services industry, retiring from Kraft Food. Jerry enjoyed water skiing, watching his kids play sports, and reading. He was a lifetime member of Verona United Methodist Church and later joined First Methodist Church in Pontotoc after moving back to Pontotoc. He was also active in the Lions Club and the Methodist Men’s Club.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Lynda Bost; his daughters, Cindy Garrett and Mitzi Hinds (Don); his son, Greg Bost; his grandchildren, Shon Sherwood, Jeremy Garrett (Sarabeth), Cody Bost (Allysa), and Paige Garrett (Jock); and his seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Betty Ann Washington, and his grandson, Blake Sherwood.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 2 PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Buddy Smith officiating. Visitation starts at 12 PM and will continue until the service. Burial will take place at Turnpike Cemetery.
