Deborah “Debbie” Locke Rodgers, 63, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit in Tupelo. She was born November 17, 1961, to Theodore “Ted” and Wanda Locke. She was an artist, and worked for 35 years at Margaret Ratcliff’s Studio, where she became accomplished at enabling plates. Her and her husband later opened Rodgers Studio in Snellville, GA, and did lots of cabinet refinishing, among other projects. They also founded Joy Camp in Snellville, which started as a summer youth camp and eventually turned into a Church. Joy Church is now in Tupelo, Mississippi, where they are leading people to know Jesus. She loved Jesus and her family dearly.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery in Peppertown.
Survivors include her husband, Randy A. Rodgers; her father, Ted Locke; her children-,Aly Thigpen, Lily and David Bilsland, Jacob and Britni Thigpen, and Joshua Locke; four step children, Randy A. Rodgers, Jr., Robert Andrew Rodgers, Melissa Langdale (Jonathan), and Mayanna A. Grayson (D’Andre); her grandchildren – Dominique, Lydia, Cadilyn, Catlin and Layla Cubas, Mason, Nora and Palmer Thigpen, Ty,Nolan, Reese, Hudson, and Indy Bilsland; her great Grandchild , Remi Cubas’ her siblings, Greg and Gina McCullough, Tim and Stephanie Locke, Traven and Chris Locke, Jay and Tanya Locke, and Rita Locke.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Locke; one sibling, Kab Locke;
Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
