Obituary of Ray Jarrell VinsonRay Jarrell Vinson, age 82, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his home on October 17, 2025. He was born on November 1, 1942, in Opelika, Alabama, to the late Clarence Linwood Vinson and Lois Jarrell.

Ray enjoyed a long and accomplished career as an engineer, where his dedication and steady nature earned him the respect of all who worked with him. Outside of his profession, Ray found great joy in life’s simple pleasures—spending time on the golf course, cheering on Auburn University football, and going antiquing with his beloved wife. He will be remembered for his kind heart, easygoing spirit, and love for the people and pastimes that brought him happiness.

He is survived by his son, Jarrell Vinson, who carries on his father’s legacy of integrity and warmth. He is also survived by his loving brother, William (Susan) Vinson.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home and Memory Gardens in Huntsville, Alabama, in the Chapel of Love. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m.

Ray will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
