Shalawnda Marquaneta McClinton, the daughter of Angela and Charles Burton, was born on August 17, 1976, and gained her wings on October 10, 2025. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized through the ministry of Faith Temple COGIC under the leadership of Pastor Julius and Constance Deberry.

Before her homegoing, she was a member of the Dream Center of Atlanta under the leadership of Bishop William Murphy III. She attended Humboldt High School and graduated with the Class of 1996. Shalawnda enjoyed her work in customer service, serving in various roles at Comcast and RHA Services. She used her position at RHA to be both a listener and an intercessor for the many clients she served.

Throughout her life, she selflessly served the homeless in soup kitchens and on the streets with genuine love and compassion. She cherished spending time with her family and friends, and her nieces Mykalah, Madisyn, Mallory, Ariyanna, and Anijah were truly the joy of her life.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents C.L. McClinton and Vernell McClinton, and her uncles Terry McClinton and David McClinton. She leaves to cherish her memory her parents Angela and Charles Burton, her brothers Ricardo (Ricky) McClinton and Adonijah Michael (Nevontae) Burton, her nieces Alexandra McClinton, Mykalah McClinton, Madisyn McClinton, Mallory McClinton, Ariyanna Burton, and Anijah Burton, her uncles Jessie McClinton and Donald McClinton, and her aunts Latoya McClinton Bates Jones, Xenia McClinton, and Sharon McClinton.

She also leaves behind many close friends and coworkers, especially her supervisor Krissy Stanley Wood and a very special friend and sister Tiffany McClinton.

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” Psalm 116:15

We will miss you and your voice: ALRIGHT.

Take your rest until we meet again in the presence of the Father.
