Martha Anne Campbell Thompson, 86, of Columbiana, Alabama passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at her residence in Columbiana, Alabama.
She was born on Friday, September 1, 1939, in Lincoln County, Tennessee to the to the late Mr. Smith Richard Campbell and Mrs. Alma Merrell Campbell.
She lived most of her life in Ardmore, Alabama. Martha was a member of First Baptist Church of Columbiana and Wooley Springs Baptist Church in Toney, Alabama.
She loved spending time with her family, sharing holidays, and making joyous memories. She also loved to go shopping.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, “Bud” Thompson, four brothers: Clyde Campbell, Will Campbell, Ed Campbell, and Joe Campbell, as well as two sisters; Helen Bailes and Lucille Bailes.
She is survived by two daughters; Teresa (Steve) Johnson, Nita (Scott) Harper, one sister, Sadie Finley, four Grandchildren: Tony (Julie) Lindeman, Chrissy (Clint) Boyd, Bobby (Alicia) Frye, Bradley (Tarrah) Frye, nine great grandchildren: Cole Lindeman, Ty Lindeman, Drew Lindeman, Landon Wales, Cooper Wales, Olivianna Frye, Isla Frye, Penny Frye, and Julia Frye, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Visitation will be held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home located in Ardmore, Alabama on Friday, October 17, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM till 12:00 PM (NOON). A Chapel Service will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home beginning at 12:00 PM (NOON) with Bro. Tony Boyles officiating. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery, located in Ardmore, Alabama.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
