Dorothy Inez Coats Rollins, 86, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Helen Keller Hospital, Sheffield, AL. She was born in Franklin County, AL to Obadiah Coats and Mattie Jane Bonds Coats. She worked in garment manufacturing, loved to sew and cook, feeding everyone. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Hackleburg, AL.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 16, 3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Rodney Shewbart, Bro. Mike Wright and Bro. Gene Thomas officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, October 16, 1-3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by a son, Keven Rollins; grandchildren, Sandelle Lamb (Ethan), Brianna Wright (Michael) and Matison Lewis (Christian); great-grandchildren, Ariana Rollins, Dylan Lamb, Hunter Green, Shawn Lamb, Grayson Bridge and Colson Lewis; sister, Dot Honeycutt and special nieces, Jane Shewbart and Mary Jo Stockton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Rollins, her parents and a host of brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Stockton, Christian Lewis, Ethan Lamb, Terry Hester, Steven Hester and Cade Oakes.
