Janice Marsheila Bevill of Hazel Green passed away at her home on Wednesday. She was 72 and had worked for Madison County School System while earning her bachelor’s degree and then worked for Deltacom. She was a graduate of Athens State University and of Hazel Green High School.
She was preceded in death by her son, Lee Bevill; her parents, William & Katherine Cantrell; her sister, Brenda Smith; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Howard William & Edith Murdock Bevill.
Surviving family members include her husband of almost 55 years, Roger Bevill; her daughter, Kim Bevill; her daughter and son-in-law, Nikkie Bevill Mewbourn (Mike); her son, Chass Bevill; her grandchildren: Connor Bevill, Tanner Mewbourn, Easton Mewbourn, and Crosslee Bevill; her great-grandchild: Jettsyn Mewbourn; her brother, Bill Cantrell (Peggy).
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5 pm until 8pm at Bevill’s Chapel Baptist Church. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 11am at the church with Pastor Benny Berry officiating. Burial will then follow in Bevill’s Cemetery.
Janice will be remembered for her love for her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
