Marvella Theresa Shook, 62, died Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born March 23, 1963, to Richard and Satsu Hecksher. She was an Office Manager and Surgical Coordinator for an Ophthalmologist, Ordained Minister, and Co-founder of Followers of the Way Bible Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ricky L. Shook; her father, Richard G. Hecksher and his wife Kay; stepson, Patrick Shook; daughter, Theresa Jackson; stepdaughter, April Norris; brother, Richard Hecksher; two sisters, Brenda Hechsher Black and Katrina Hecksher Jones; three grandchildren, Kayleigh Hicks, Bobby Hicks and James Hicks; four step-grandchildren, Jeremiah Norris, Aliva Norris, Kaiden Shook and Sophia Shook; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Satsu Hecksher; and a sister, Deborah Hecksher Prier.
