Funeral service for Boyce “Bub“ Freeman, age 75, of Decatur, will be Monday, June 3, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 2, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Freeman, who died Friday, May 31, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born February 15, 1938, in Decatur, to Joseph W. Freeman and Pearlie Strickland Freeman.
Mr. Freeman is preceded by his parents, brother James W. Freeman, sister Inez Freeman Reid and brother-in-law Frank Reid.
He is survived by five brothers, Billy Freeman of Decatur, Kenneth Freeman of Priceville, Tommy Freeman of Chattanooga, TN, Don Freeman of Town Creek and Ricky Freeman of Decatur. One sister, Judy Freeman Shelton of Decatur, and family friends, Mary Evans and the employee’s of the local Waffle House’s.
