Ethel M. Umfress Gray, 87, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013, at her residence . She was born June 24, 1925 to Errett “Sam” and Mattie Jane Tucker Umfress in Tremont. She was a member of the Tilden Church of Christ. She enjoyed fishing, being active in church, working with her flowers, and helping others in need.
She is survived by her daughter, Glinda Stanley of Fulton, Son, James E. (Erin) Gray of Dallas, TX, Grandson, Terry Holland of Plantersville, MS, Granddaughter, Robin M. (Jeff) Atkinson of Tremont, MS, Grandson, Brandon Gray of Dallas, TX, Granddaughter, Amanda (Kevin) of Columbus, MS, Several Great Grandchildren, Niece, Jeannie Umfress (Willem) Domerchie of Waukegan, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence D. Gray, Father, Errett “Sam” Umfress, Mother, Mattie Jane Umfress, Brother, William Errett Umfress, Brother, Johnny Dempsey Umfress.
Pallbearers will be Terry Holland, Willem Domerchie, Allan Orman, Jeremy Holland, Jamey Holland, Eugene Kimball.
