Mrs. Debra Lee Pate Peters was born in Chicago, Ill on January 09,1959 to her father the late Mr. Edward Leroy Pate and her surviving mother Mrs. Marian Woodhouse Pate. She spent her childhood in Illinois and eventually move to her forever home in Tennessee. In her adult years, she worked in sales in various position and for several different companies. Mrs. Debra would meet and marry her husband Mr. James Peters and on July 05, 1998, the two would marry and forever intertwine their families, hearts and lives and the two would remain married until her passing. In her leisure time, she could be found enjoying shopping at yard sales throughout the countryside, crocheting and sewing blankets for her children and grandchildren. Still, nothing in life compared in her heart to the time she spent with her family, friends and loved ones, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Debra Pate Peters passed from this life on September 29, 2025 at the Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN making her stay on this earth some 66 years, 8 months and 18 days.
In addition to her mother Mrs. Marian Woodhouse Pate; she is survived by her husband of 28 years Mr. James Peters of Waynesboro, TN; daughters Crystal Hooker and husband John of Waynesboro, TN, Amber Peters and husband Steven Wyatt of Crystal River, FL and Jamie Lee Peters and fiancé Logan Qualls of Decaturville,TN; grandchildren Justice Hooker, Lakota Hooker, Cherokee Peters Reed, Tahlequah (Telly) Heath, Bristol Hall, Brexlee Hall and John Luke Qualls; siblings Edward Pate and wife Sandy of Crystal lake, Ill, Cindy Pate of Florence, WI and Michael Pate and wife Jennifer of Donnella, FL as well as many other family, friends and dear loved ones.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by a brother Robert Pate and grandson Cole Hooker.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday October 04, 2025 from 2:00 pm till 5:00 pm at the Green River Baptist Fellowship Hall in Waynesboro, TN with Brother Jamison Edwards officiating.
