Huntsville Woman Dies From Injuries Received After Crashing Her Motorcycle Into Another Vehicle

LACEY’S SPRING- The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle has taken the life of a Huntsville woman:

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:25 a.m. Monday, September 29, has claimed the life of a Huntsville woman.

Michaela G. Jefferson, 27, was critically injured when the 20007 Suzuki V-Strom motorcycle that she was operating struck the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado driven by John T. Defreez, 51, of Lacey’s Spring.

After the initial impact, the Suzuki caught fire. Jefferson was transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment where she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The crash occurred on U.S. 231 near North Fields Road, approximately two miles north of Lacey’s Spring, in Morgan County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
