Annie Ruth Evans age 83 of Athens passed away Friday at her residence. Mrs. Evans was born July 17, 1942 in Limestone County, she was a retired registered nurse and a believer in Jesus Christ.
Survivors include her Son, Donald (Melody) Evans of Athens. Daughter, Donna (Paul Key) Smith of Athens. Grandchildren, Jeremy Van Evans (Lauren). Heather Evans Gough (David). Jody Evans (Chelsea). Haley Evans Holt (Jessie). Joel Evans (Paige). Hollie Evans. Rob Dempsey (Lindsay). Cassie Dunn (Joey). Great Grandchildren, Hudson, Copeland, Laney, Darby, Betsy, Easton, Stetson, Sutton, Thompson, Myer, Travis, Kinley, Addley, Pacey, Evvey, Lettey, Hogan, Barrett, Hayden, Eli, Bristol, and Briggs. Sisters, Sue Broadway and Nancy Pratt. Brothers, Bobby Hill, Ray Hill and Stanley Hill. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Robert Evans.
Services will be 2 pm Monday in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home with Andy John King officiating. Burial to follow in Limestone Cemetery (Highway 72 West). Visitation will be Monday from 12 noon until service at Funeral Home. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Limestone Cemetery.
