MADISON COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle has taken the life of one person and sent two other people to hospital:
“A two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle that occurred at approximately 12:57 p.m. Saturday, September 27, has claimed the life of a Huntsville man.
Robert S. Murphy, 66, was fatally injured when the 2024 Honda Translap motorcycle he was operating struck the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Bernard Miller, 74, of Madison with passenger Jo Ellen Miller, 73, also of Madison. Murphy was transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment, where he later succumbed to injuries.
Bernard and Jo Ellen Miller also were injured and transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred on Alabama 53 near Jeff Road, approximately three miles east of Harvest, in Madison County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
