Edward Perk Estes, age 82, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at St. Thomas West Hospital.
A native of Nashville, Eddie was the son of the late James and Virginia Bledsoe Estes. He was also preceded in death by his infant brother, Billy.
Eddie is survived by his devoted wife of sixty years, Patricia Estes; daughters, Sheryl Lynn Young of Christiana, and Kimberly Braswell and husband Blair of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Amber Young, Anthony Charles Young II and wife Amber, Tiffany Bradley and husband Andrew, and Brook Lyn Breece; great-grandchildren, Anyiah, Chloé, Maleah, Cierra, Cali, and Anthony III; along with many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
A proud military veteran, Eddie honorably served his country in the United States Navy and later the Tennessee Army National Guard, retiring after a combined thirty-four years of dedicated service.
He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Outside of his service and devotion to family, Eddie enjoyed the simple joys of fishing and time spent outdoors, hoping to always catch a big one.
Visitation with the Estes family will be held at Woodfin Memorial Chapel on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Burial with full military honors will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Eddie will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to family and the legacy of service he leaves behind. May he rest in peace.
