Randy Leroy “Boone” Dees, 58, passed away at his residence on September 23, 2025. He was a logger for many years and later on he was a stocker for two years at Dollar General Market, Red Bay, AL.
Services will be Thursday, September 25, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Josh Payne officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, September 25, 11-1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL. Burial will be in Old Burleson Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-one years, Renee Dees; one daughter, Randa Dees Guntharp (Tony) of Mantachie, MS; one grandson, Dylan Guntharp; two sisters, Jo Ann Holland (Billy) Florence, AL and Mary Byrd, Duvalls Bluff, AR; one brother, Gary Holland (Mary) Southaven, MS; many friends, relatives and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jewel Massey Dees, his father, Lee Roy Dees, a brother, Johnny Dees and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Cass McGough, Shannon Cochran, Billy Horton, Billy Holden, Jeremy Credille and Josh Scott. Honorary pallbearer will be Darren Barrett.
