Martha Jean Herrmann, 80, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after fighting dementia the past few years. She was born February 16, 1945, in Corinth, to Norman Eric and Lillion Mae Grissom Wilkins. She was a homemaker and also worked several jobs before becoming disabled. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and tending to her rose bushes that she always planted. She also enjoyed working cross word puzzles and playing games on her computer.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 27, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Marlo Finnie officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Wess Spradling (Elizabeth) of Fulton; four daughters, Deborah Odom, Carolyn Moss (Tyron), and Sandy Maxcy, all of Mantachie, and Amber Glissen (David) of Jackson, MS; 0ne sister, Sherry Lee Scott of Selmer, TN; seven grandchildren, Shawn Odom, Kevin Spradling, Michelle Maxcy, Jessica Harrison, T.J. Spradling, Robert Spradling, and Cole Spradling; several great grandchildren and nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Kelly Wade Spradling; her second husband, Joseph Herrmann; three brothers, Roscoe Wilkins, Bill Wilkins, and Jimmy Wilkins; six sisters, Estelle Vinson, Ruth Horn, Elouise Qualls, Ann Cornelius, Dale Scott, and Gail Stine; and her parents.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
