MOULTON-Over the past several weeks, investigators with the Lawrence County VICE/Narcotics Unit received multiple complaints regarding the illegal distribution of narcotics within the Moulton community. During the course of the investigation, Tracy Way was identified as a suspect.
On September 9, 2025, agents with the VICE/Narcotics Unit located and made contact with Way at a property on County
Tracy Way
Road 170. During the encounter, agents discovered a quantity of illegal items in Way’s possession, including:
• Methamphetamine (in excess of 46.39 grams)
• Controlled pills
• Mushrooms
• Drug paraphernalia
• Multiple firearms
Way was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Lawrence County Jail. He was charged with:
• Trafficking Methamphetamine
• Possession of a Controlled Substance
• Felon in Possession of a Firearm
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Additional charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
