Memorial services for Mr. Larry Stokley, age 68, are scheduled for 2pm Saturday, September 27, 2025, in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home.
Mr. Stokley passed away early Saturday morning at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was retired from MagneTek and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tending to his vegetable garden. His most memorable times were gathering with his family every Saturday during football season.
Born in Butler, Alabama, he was the son of the late James and Annie Lou Watkins Stokley.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Sandy Stokley: son-,Josh Stokley (Kim); two daughters, Kelli Sanders (Jessica) and Jennifer Ray; seven grandchildren, Abby Stokley (Dylan), Hunter Crider (Cassie), Dawson Fiddler, Gracie Crider, Gage Stokley, Hunter Stokley, and Cash Stokley; and two great grandchildren, Walt Crider and Case Stokley. He also leaves behind one sister, Pat Helms, along with several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Stokley was preceded in death by three brothers, Jay Stokley, Oscar Stokley, and Buck Stokley and two sisters, Bonnie Dunlap and Alice Bowman.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose greatest joys were found in family, the outdoors, and the simple pleasures of life.
