Edith Gladys Eden, age 92 of Goodlettsville, TN passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, September 17th in the Chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Bro. Jon Briggs officiating. The family will receive friends 10 AM until the time of service on Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery on Dividing Ridge Road with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be C.T. Harris and Raymond Hill.
Edith was born in Goodlettsville on June 18, 1933 to the late James Robert and Stella Effie Evitts Hill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis Chilsolm Eden; son, Tim Eden and siblings, Clara Mae Harris, James Otis Hill, Louise Binkley and Elizabeth Sterry. She is survived by a son, Terry (Kathy) Eden; granddaughter, Katie (Justin) Wilbur; great-grandson, Jack Terrance Wilbur and a brother, Raymond L. Hill.
She enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing and loved her family very much. She was a charter member and the oldest living member of Spring Hill Baptist Church on Dividing Ridge Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
