Infant Shepherd Mark Smith
With hearts full of love and sorrow, we announce the birth of our son, Shepherd Mark Smith, who was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Marshall Medical Center South.
Shepherd is the cherished son of Kylan and Amy Whitt Smith and the adored little brother of Ivy and Edyn. He is the beloved grandson of Mark and Patrice Whitt, and Jamie and Kelly Carter, and the great-grandson of Harold and Madge Matthews. He is deeply loved by his aunts and uncles: Abby (Doug) Olson, Anna Grace (Riley) Purdy, Braylee (Blake) Reeves, and Allison Whitt, and is also lovingly remembered by many cousins and dear family friends. Shepherd was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Betty Ragan.
A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Hillcrest Cemetery. A worship celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor and remember our precious baby Shepherd.
Sleep peacefully, our sweet Shepherd. We will carry you in our hearts until Heaven reunites us.
