Former ALEA Trooper Richey Arrested For Solicitation Of Prostitution And Computer Tampering

LIMESTONE COUNTY — On Tuesday, September 9, former Senior Trooper Paul Richey
turned himself into the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office and was booked into the
Limestone County Jail for charges of Solicitation of Prostitution and Computer Tampering.

The charges are a result of an ongoing investigation led by the Alabama Law Enforcement
Agency’s (ALEA) State Bureau of Investigation (SBI).

On Monday, September 8, Richey resigned
from his position at ALEA and is no longer employed with the Agency.
Nothing further is available as the investigation remains ongoing.
